About ELA Movement
ELA Movement is more than just a space – it’s a hidden oasis where art, nature, and creativity thrive, offering an inspiring and unique experience in the adorable Lisbon.
In Bulgarian, ELA means “fir tree” – a symbol of nature, roots, and connection to the earth.
The word also carries an invitation – “come here”, evoking a sense of gathering and togetherness.
In Portuguese, ELA means “she”, adding emotional depth and honoring feminine energy and strength.
The Studio.
ELA Movement Studio is a bright, spacious and flexible creative space inside Lisbon’s newest creative hub in Arroios. With around 80m² of open floor, it’s large enough to host groups and bigger activities while keeping a cozy atmosphere. Ideal for workshops, rehearsals, photoshoots, screenings, or private events, the studio comes with natural light, a projection wall for film or visual content, sound system, and optional furniture setup.
On-site you’ll also find a bar, gallery, and enchanted garden, giving your booking a unique cultural backdrop.
Just 2 minutes from Anjos Metro, ELA Studio is affordable, central, and designed for creatives who want more than a plain white room.

The Bar With The Enchanted Garden.
The bar at ELA Movement is a hidden gem, featuring a big enchanted garden that feels like a cozy, private backyard and a true safe space for the community. The garden doubles as a live music venue and an open-air gallery for street art, showcasing four unique murals created by four different artists – Nathalia, Ariel, Jess and LixSan.
The place creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for working, reading a book, or meeting friends and loved ones. In the garden, guests can unwind in a hammock, lounge on sunbeds, or gently sway on the swings — an ideal spot to relax and feel at home.
The bar offers an affordable price range, making it an accessible spot for everyone, and is also a hub for hosting all kinds of events, often joined by our partners who bring in delicious international pop-up food to complement the experience. This way the space comes alive with even more life, multicultural flavors, creativity, and energy.
We welcome outside promoters to host their events in our beautiful space.

ELA Movement Art Gallery is an independent art space within ELA Movement.
Its mission is clear: to empower and amplify rising artists. Dedicated to showcasing emerging and established creators across disciplines, the gallery hosts rotating exhibitions, pop-up shows, and creative residencies. ELA Movement Art Gallery shines a spotlight on emerging talent, giving gifted artists the opportunity to be seen — both they themselves and their art.
It’s more than an exhibition space: it’s a meeting point where visual art merges with music, design, and community. A platform for experimentation, visibility, and connection.
